Reservoir: Patented 5 gallon medical-grade, polyethylene disposable liner enclosed in a sealed-system with a snap on lid assembly that allows easy removal. Provides 5 gallons of chilled water capacity and a contact surface of over 70 square inches. Our patented "sealed-system" allows for rapid site cooler servicing and guarantee of a truly sanitized reservoir every time. Cabinet:Injection-molded frame with our revolutionary polypropylene blow molded part with air gap provides excellent insulation without the fragility of closed or open cell foams. The frame and the compact cooling system is easily removed and structurally capable of withstanding standard UPS shipping. Refrigeration Unit: Hermetically sealed compressor with automatic overload protection. Environmentally friendly R-134 refrigerant controlled by calibrated capillary tube. Microprocessor Controlled System:Eliminates need for a thermostat (#1 consumer complaint) and float systems. Sequence control board checks to make sure each function is working properly. Level switches monitor the cooler water use, cycles, and water levels. Controller automatically adjusts to compensate for water that has been consumed and monitors room temperature to adjust operation of refrigeration system accordingly. Safeguards: The amphion system is designed to automatically shut down to protect you from leaks, overflows, voltage problems or back-up battery deficiencies.
